A day of scarred togetherness,
A night of long apart,
Lights a little candle
In the lonely heart.
The candle glow allures her;
Helpless as a moth,
She flutters back into his arms
To make another troth.
Love's cycle, never-ending,
The sighing and the song,
Can make the day evocative,
The night so very long.
